Obama Insults the U.S.
Monday, April 6th, 2009President Obama’s performance at the G-20 summit was disappointing, to say the least. After making major concessions, he managed to get a total of $1 trillion in pledges from 20 countries to stimulate the global economy - less than we have already spent to stimulate our own economy. This figure includes what some countries have already budgeted for stimulus. Most of the money will go to the IMF, meaning countries with deficient fiscial policies will just get money to carry on their deficient fiscal policies.
By the way, this is all printed money which will soon be causing inflation. Oh, and the spending will take place over the next five years. In summary, the G-20 summit was just a giant PR conference, the effects of which have already begun to wear off.
Meanwhile, Obama has been touring Europe to express his disappointment in the United States. In Strasbourg this week, he told an audience that Americans are “arrogant.” He also said that Americans have exhibited a “failure to appreciate Europe’s leading place in the world.”
Who is he trying to impress? The anti-capitalist, anti-globalization protesters in Strasbourg burned down two hotels this weekend. Is this who Obama wants on our side? Do we really want to adopt - or assimilate in any fashion - the ideals of murderous arsonists and anarchists? The anti-capitalist protesters at the G-20 summit were throwing bricks through windows, beating innocent people, and tossing marbles on the streets to maim policemen and their horses. Such exemplary behavior is clearly representative of their esteemed values, and in concordance, a true utopia manifested.
The only thing that many Americans have failed to appreciate is the hard work that has gone into building this country and the many efforts that have ensured the freedoms and liberties we enjoy on a daily basis. And it is our President who has failed to appreciate what it means to be an American. Instead he feels shame for our country… 20 years in Reverend Wright’s pews apparently had quite an effect on him.
Well, I guess now our chickens have come home to roost.
