Obama’s Legacy

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Remember when President Obama promised the stimulus package would have an immediate effect? Well, the Associated Press reports that the counties hurting the most from job losses are actually getting the least immediate aid from the allocated funding. It’s hard to understand how hundreds of earmarks were considered more important than actually stimulating the economy.

Meanwhile, the budgeted deficit continues to grow. Now the White House is projecting a $1.8 trillion deficit for 2009 - four times the 2008 deficit.

The Obama Administration’s analysis also assumes our economy will be growing at a rate of 3.5 percent by the end of the year. The more realistic report by the Congressional Budget Office predicts that the gross domestic product will actually decline 3 percent this year, and increase only 2.9 percent next year.

Nevermind that, the Obama Administration is too busy explaining how nothing is ever their fault. But we already know that isn’t true.

The White House has also been busy publicizing that they have created 20,000 new jobs in the Pentagon. What they didn’t tell you is that they actually destroyed 11,000 private sector jobs in the process. Reuters reports:

“The remaining 11,000 new hires would come from the conversion to federal civilian slots of jobs that had been outsourced to contractors.”

Another problem is that many of the jobs created by the government are only temporary. 60,000 jobs were created for the 2010 census. In about a year these people will be jobless again, and economic data suggests unemployment will still be a huge problem at that time. But hey, that’s alright. After these workers are done skewing the census data, they’ll probably just go back to ACORN and cast votes for their new imaginary citizens.

Obama Insults the U.S.

Monday, April 6th, 2009

President Obama’s performance at the G-20 summit was disappointing, to say the least. After making major concessions, he managed to get a total of $1 trillion in pledges from 20 countries to stimulate the global economy - less than we have already spent to stimulate our own economy. This figure includes what some countries have already budgeted for stimulus. Most of the money will go to the IMF, meaning countries with deficient fiscial policies will just get money to carry on their deficient fiscal policies.

By the way, this is all printed money which will soon be causing inflation. Oh, and the spending will take place over the next five years. In summary, the G-20 summit was just a giant PR conference, the effects of which have already begun to wear off.

Meanwhile, Obama has been touring Europe to express his disappointment in the United States. In Strasbourg this week, he told an audience that Americans are “arrogant.” He also said that Americans have exhibited a “failure to appreciate Europe’s leading place in the world.”

Who is he trying to impress? The anti-capitalist, anti-globalization protesters in Strasbourg burned down two hotels this weekend. Is this who Obama wants on our side? Do we really want to adopt - or assimilate in any fashion - the ideals of murderous arsonists and anarchists? The anti-capitalist protesters at the G-20 summit were throwing bricks through windows, beating innocent people, and tossing marbles on the streets to maim policemen and their horses. Such exemplary behavior is clearly representative of their esteemed values, and in concordance, a true utopia manifested.

The only thing that many Americans have failed to appreciate is the hard work that has gone into building this country and the many efforts that have ensured the freedoms and liberties we enjoy on a daily basis. And it is our President who has failed to appreciate what it means to be an American. Instead he feels shame for our country… 20 years in Reverend Wright’s pews apparently had quite an effect on him.

Well, I guess now our chickens have come home to roost.

European Union Criticizes U.S. Socialist Spending

Obama’s Power Grab, Part III

Even the head of the European Union is criticizing Obama’s socialist spending spree, saying that the United States is on “the road to hell.” Other high-ranking officials in France, including the French President have commented that Obama’s plan to spend $2 trillion to escape the recession is absurd.

Obama’s budget will create almost $10 trillion in debt over the next decade so that he can expand the government. This is $10 trillion that tax payers will have to pay interest on just so Obama can create worthless government programs to expand his power. This is $10 trillion to provide “tax-relief” for people who don’t pay taxes. This is $10 trillion to pay mortgages for people who lied about their income and can’t afford their houses. This is $10 trillion that Obama and Pelosi are robbing from our children and grandchildren to create bailouts for reality television. This is $10 trillion of government that we don’t need and can’t afford.

Too bad Obama can’t see this on his telepromter.
